Help shape Aspen’s future: 2026 Community Survey now open

The city of Aspen is inviting residents and community members to participate in the 2026 Aspen Community Survey, an important opportunity to provide feedback on quality of life in Aspen, city services, and priorities for the future.

The survey is part of the city’s ongoing effort to better understand community needs and guide decisions that impact Aspen residents, workers, and families. Feedback gathered through the survey will help city staff and City Council identify priorities, shape policies, and plan future programs and services.

Beginning June 8, randomly selected households will receive a mailed invitation to participate in the survey. Participants will have the option to complete the survey online or by paper. The survey will open to the broader community on June 22 and remain available through July 20 on this website. Community members are encouraged to participate and share the survey with neighbors, friends, and family members.

All adults in each household age 18 and older are invited to complete the survey. Responses are confidential, and no identifying information will be shared. Survey results will be compiled and shared publicly with the community after completion.

Questions in the survey focus on topics including quality of life, community characteristics, city services, and long-term priorities. The survey also allows the city to track historical trends across key areas of livability and local government performance over time.

Community participation is essential to ensuring the survey reflects a broad range of perspectives and experiences throughout Aspen. Residents who have already completed the survey are asked not to submit another response but are encouraged to help spread the word within their networks.
