Key Dates

Please join Aspen’s staff on Friday, February 14th, at 12 p.m. in the Basalt Public Library Community Room (14 Midland Avenue, Basalt, Colorado 81621) to hear about the project, information in the application and to attend a site visit where the equipment will be added to existing hydroelectric facilities at Ruedi Reservoir. The agenda for the meeting is: 

1. Explanation of proposal

2. Potential environmental impact

3. Additional information provided about construction

4. Project website, comment period, subject of comments and deadline 

5. Site visit

Upon review of Aspen’s amendment application, FERC is requiring Aspen to hold a 60-day comment period to solicit stakeholder feedback about resource studies and information and confirm that this opportunity for a public meeting and site visit was provided. Public comments will be taken until April 15, 2025. To submit a comment please email ruedi@aspen.gov
