Welcome to the Wagner Park Playground Remodel page, where we’re putting the sparkle back in our beloved play area – one tooth at a time! Just like pulling a wobbly tooth, we're saying goodbye to the tired, worn-out equipment that's seen better days and welcoming a fresh, vibrant playground ready to spark joy and playtime adventures. It’s a tooth extraction of sorts, but instead of a gap, we’re filling the space with laughter, fun, and memories waiting to be made. Say cheese, because the smiles at this playground are about to get a whole lot brighter!
Wagner Park playground is getting long in the tooth...
Wagner Park playground has long been a favorite destination, featuring unique elements such as the swinging hammock, the sturdy cast concrete climber/slide, the rope bridge, saddle spinners, and the concrete climbing structure affectionately called "the tooth" (a climbing challenge for all daring adventurers).
However, even the tooth hasn’t been immune to decay, developing cavities in need of the removal and filling of sections. This playground has weathered its adventures, but it's time for a transformation to breathe new life into its worn features.
The tooth and nothing but the tooth:
The city of Aspen is excited to announce the launch of a survey aimed at gathering your input for the remodel of the Wagner Park playground. We welcome you to sink your teeth into our survey and help us give this playground the delight it deserves. Your input will be the root (canal) of our revitalization efforts, ensuring that every smile is as bright as a polished pearly white. Let’s give this playground a grin that’ll make even the tooth fairy jealous!
What did one tooth say to the other after getting a new crown?
We're royalty now! Our plans for the remodel aim to achieve several key benefits:
- Enhanced Playground Safety: Incorporating modern playground safety standards through thoughtful play feature design to ensure a secure environment for all.
- Integrated Seating Options: Providing seating that appeals to all ages, supporting visitors to Wagner Park and the adjacent Pedestrian Mall.
- Expanded Play Features: Adding new and exciting play opportunities that cater to a wide variety of ages and abilities.
Have your say!
We want to hear from you! The survey below invites community members to share their thoughts on potential features and design preferences for the new playground. Your feedback is crucial in ensuring that the remodeled playground meets the needs and desires of its users.
Thank you for being a part of this exciting transformation. Let’s make Wagner Park playground the crown jewel of Aspen once again!
