Here’s the thing about climate change (which is real, and real scary):

We’ve got to do what we can, and we’ve got to do it now.

The good news is that there is a lot we can do to preserve this place that we know and love. Some of it is small stuff we can do on our own—simple acts like recycling and composting, taking the bus and a shorter shower, and doubling down on home insulation. But -there are bigger things we must do together as a community! Like running our electrical grid on 100% renewables (check!), erecting buildings that are 100% electric and more efficient (most of a check!), and reducing our emissions by 100% in the next 25 years (we’re all working on it!).

We want to hear from you!

We want to hear from you! Are you a sustainability champion who takes action every day—whether it’s biking to work, reducing single-use plastics, composting food scraps, or shopping locally? We know there are individuals in our community making thoughtful choices for a healthier planet, and we want to celebrate your efforts.

Your story can inspire others to take action, too. No act is too small—every step counts.

Submit your sustainability story today and help us build a greener, more resilient future together!

Meet Konner Syed: local sustainability champion!

Konner received more than $20,000 in a mix of state, federal, and even Costco funding incentives to purchase his new electric vehicle (EV). The funding made it possible for him to choose a car that supports his environmental values while still being reliable, functional, and affordable.

His EV handles the commute from Redstone to Aspen, hauling river gear for weekend paddles, and family trips to the Front Range—without needing to think twice about charging thanks to a solid network of public chargers across the valley and state.
