Work is underway on the Paepcke Transit Hub Improvements Project and we want to provide you with regular progress updates.
Here’s a snapshot of what’s happening:
Construction crews are staged and in place, along with signage
- The downvalley bus stop at the corner of E. Main and N. Garmisch has moved one block west by the Hotel Aspen for the duration of the project
- The inbound BRT stop on S. Garmisch has moved one block south to the corner of W. Hopkins and S. Garmisch
- Pedestrians have been routed around the work area to Main and Aspen, with temporary Main St. crossing on the west side of Garmisch
- The first scope of work includes storm drain utility work
- The project team is now meeting regularly
- Other construction and pre-construction projects in the immediate area include work at the Molly Gibson Lodge and Hotel Aspen
Traffic safety reminder
- Four lanes of traffic are open on Main Street; please stay in your lane as the westbound lanes narrow near Paepcke Park
